New features
Prescription Requests
A new feature has been added to MWI Pet, enabling veterinary practices to offer clients the option of requesting prescriptions for their pets through MWI Pet. Prescriptions requested by clients via MWI Pet are automatically recorded in the repeat prescription special surgeon diary within Merlin.
Prescription Requests - Client submitting a prescription request through MWI Pet
A new feature has been added to MWI Pet that allows clients to select and enter required information to submit a prescription request to the vet practice. MWI Pet clients will view an option to select called ‘Request prescriptions’ which will present a workflow on screen for the client to select & enter required information and submit.
1. As a client login to MWI Pet
2. Select ‘Request Prescriptions’ button
3. Select 1 or more pets
4. Select continue
5. Select which item(s) are required for the pet displayed:
a. Select an item the pet has had previously from the drop down
b. Select Request new item & type details of the new item required
6. Enter additional notes if required to provide further information to vet practice
7. Select continue
8. Review your prescription request(s) details
9. Select Submit Request
10. View confirmation screen
11. Receive email confirmation of prescription request
Prescription Requests - Enable & disable feature
A new feature setting has been added to MWI Pet Practice Admin, which allows the new Prescription request feature to be enabled or disabled for vet practice clients to use through MWI Pet. This feature is enabled as default.
1. Login to MWI Pet practice admin
2. Select Settings menu option
3. Select Features tab
4. Scroll down the page to Prescription Requests section
5. View ‘Block pet owners from requesting prescriptions for all sites’
6. Select button to the right of this heading:
a. To make active (green) this will disable prescriptions requests for clients through MWI Pet
b. To make inactive (grey) this will enable prescriptions request for clients through MWI Pet
7. Select Save button
Prescription Requests - Disable feature for specific practice locations
A new feature setting has been added to MWI Pet Practice Admin, which allows the new Prescription request feature to be disabled for specific vet practice locations. Only the specific locations selected will not allow clients to request prescriptions through MWI Pet. This setting is disabled by default.
1. Login to MWI Pet practice admin
2. Select Settings menu option
3. Select Features tab
4. Scroll down the page to Prescription Requests section
5. View ‘Block pet owners from requesting prescriptions only for specific sites’
6. Select button to the right of this heading:
a. To make active (green) this will disable prescriptions requests for clients through MWI Pet
7. From the drop down underneath this header, select those sites you wish to disable the prescription request feature for.
8. Select Save button
Prescription Requests - Select which special surgeon diary is used for prescription requests
A new feature setting has been added to MWI Pet Practice Admin, which allows the selection of which repeat prescription special surgeon diary in Merlin is to be used for prescription requests when submitted by clients through MWI Pet. This can be specified by individual practice site.
1. Login to MWI Pet practice admin
2. Select Settings menu option
3. Select Features tab
4. Scroll down the page to Prescription Requests section
5. View ‘Select which Merlin diary prescriptions requests are to be placed for specific sites’
6. Next to each site listed, select the drop down
7. Select the desired repeat prescription special surgeon diary which is to be used for each site.
8. Select Save button
Prescription Requests - View number of prescription requests submitted by clients through MWI Pet
A new statistic card has been added to MWI Pet Practice Admin homepage, which shows the number of prescription requests submitted by clients through MWI Pet over the selected time period.
1. Login to MWI Pet practice admin
2. Visit the homepage
3. View statistic card called Prescription requests
